Design, synthesis and anti-HIV integrase evaluation of 4-oxo-4H-quinolizine-3-carboxylic acid derivatives.

4-Oxo-4H-quinolizine-3-carboxylic acid derivatives bearing sulfamido, carboxylamido, benzimidazole and benzothiazole substituents have been designed and synthesized. The structures of these new compounds were confirmed by (1)H-NMR, (13)C- NMR, IR and ESI (or HRMS) spectra. Compounds were screened for possible HIV integrase inhibitory activity.

Studies on the Synthesis of Novel 2,4-Thiazolidinedione Derivatives with Antidiabetic Activity

      A new series of thiazolidinedione derivatives were synthesized. The structures of these compounds were established by means of IR, 1H-NMR and elemental analysis. All of the compounds were screened for antidiabetic activity on albino rats. Most of the compounds showed significant antidiabetic activity when compared with the standard drug glibenclamide.
